Eidos Interactive and Core Design announced today that Lara Croft, character of one of the $1 billion dollar game franchise, will mark her public debut at the upcoming E3 in Los Angeles on May 22. Croft, who has previously been portrayed by models Rhona Mitra, Nell McAndrew, Lara Weller, Lucy Clarkson, Jill de Jong and actress Angelina Jolie, will make several appearances on the expo floor answering questions from the audience and talking about her newest adventure "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness."

Eidos announces a new title for its ‘Fresh Games’ label, Legaia 2: Duel Saga on PS2. Legaia 2: Duel Saga is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Legend of Legaia, which was released on PlayStation in 1999. Developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, the game will be released this Autumn in the U.S. and Europe. The game is a Japanese turn-based RPG that features real-time backgrounds and voice acting. Eidos will translate and localise the game for the Western market.

Microsoft Game Studios today announced that it is in the final stages of an exclusive publishing deal with Sigil Games Online Inc. Sigil Games Online was formed by two of the game industry's most renowned designers, Brad McQuaid, co-creator of the revolutionary, massively multiplayer online role-playing game "EverQuest(," and Jeff Butler, former producer of the EverQuest Live and Expansion teams.
