As we ramp up towards E3, more and more new games are being announced. Last week Ridge Racer 7 was revealed, and the latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu now has confirmation that Namco is bringing Tekken 6 to the PS3. No other details, or possible platforms, were disclosed, but, as with a lot of the new titles, more info is sure to follow at E3, and we'll be there to cover it for you...

Revealed a few days ago, Namco today officially announced that Tekken is coming to the PSP, this summer. Tekken: Dark Resurrection takes all the top elements from the latest arcade version and introduces a host of new, PSP-exclusive features to deliver great mobile gaming.

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu reveals that Namco is working on a Tekken port for the PSP. Tekken: Dark Resurrection is based on the new Tekken 5 arcade game, including all of its 35 locations and characters. Eddy Gordo and Armor King are confirmed amongst the 30 or so playable fighters, and also various modes such as Time Attack, Practice and mini-games will be included. Tekken on the PSP will also support AdHoc multiplayer, and is scheduled for release in Japan this summer.

This year's E3 featured an astounding number of PSP titles that were just plain fun to play, which is something that the handheld console has been lacking until now. Tekken: Dark Resurrection was among those titles, and it was perhaps the single game I put in the most time with during E3. While it is largely a straight port of the limited arcade release by the same name, T:DR is certainly more portable than an arcade machine.

Namco announced today that Urban Reign will feature guest appearances by characters from the TEKKEN series of fighting games. Namco announced today it has partnered with Hori U.S.A. to offer a limited edition TEKKEN 5 premium bundle set to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the fighting franchise. The bundle will retail for $99.99 and include a copy of the game, a Hori customized peripheral and a special six-disc collectors DVD case for storage of all games in the TEKKEN franchise.
