Infogrames has today announced that the Atari-branded Unreal Tournament 2003 will now be released on PC-CD ROM across Europe in July 2002. The successful release of Unreal Tournament 2003 is extremely important to Infogrames. The decision has therefore been made that Unreal Tournament 2003 will be released in July 2002 so that the title is of the highest standard when released. Infogrames, EPIC and Digital Extremes are fully aware of the anticipation for this product from the huge Unreal fan base and want to produce something that will blow fans and newcomers away. The Unreal brand is an enormous license and all relevant teams want to adhere to the quality that has been achieved in the past.

Unreal Tournament 2003 is the sequel to 1999's multiple 'Game of the Year' award winner. It uses the very latest Unreal Engine technology - where graphics, sound and gameplay are taken beyond the bleeding edge. The official website has just been opened, not a lot of "new" stuff there but it DOES contain some sweet looking screens, info and a FAQ!

Unreality.dk "German site" tossed up a Unreal Tournament 2003 preview video "43MB" today, showing some action from the Kalendra Icefields map. The full movie from the presentation can be expected later..

The official site for Unreal 2 has today been updated with a new screenshot and there is also a update in their download section with a nasty new wallpaper.

Seven new movies in DivX AVI format is now available which show the Infogrames press event where Unreal Tournament II was unveiled to the press. The movies offer plenty of ShakyCam footage shot off computer monitors that illustrate various new features and aspects of the game's design along with gameplay action, as well as a few bits on Unreal II and Unreal Championship. A French gaming magazine by the name of Joystick has featured Unreal Tournament 2 in the January issue of their magazine. The facts come from a hands on account of playing UT2, so you can be certain that this game is not a simple rumor. PlanetUnreal got the full scoop, check it out!
