10 years ago, it seems everything 3D Realms does takes more than a decade as Max Payne movie producer Scott Faye
revealed he is working with 3DR CEO Scott Miller to adapt the game franchise into a movie. No need to line up at the box office just yet, as the project is merely in the early stages. Faye is "working at establishing a Duke film scenario that will compel a studio to finance a feature version." The movie will stay true to the game, but will be "expanding Duke's 'storyverse' in a very significant major way."

Last month EA Europe shocked horror fans with moving the game's release forward, and the North American release is also ahead of schedule. Originally scheduled for release on Oct. 21, the console versions will launch Oct. 14, with the PC edition to follow on Oct. 20.
