interview with former Apogee developer Jim Norwood (known for Shadow Warrior and Bio Menace) reveals the juicy bit that he is currently working on an RPG for EA, Lord of the Rings: The White Council. After The Third Age, this would be EA's second attempt at developing an RPG set in J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings universe. While there are no details, The White Council is mentioned in the trilogy as a body formed to prevent Sauron from obtaining the One Ring, and includes Gandalf but also Saruman before turning evil.
