Monolith confirmed that it is actively working on sequels for its creepy FPS F.E.A.R. The sequels are planned for PC and next gen consoles, but there is one little catch. They won't be called F.E.A.R. Monolith is currently developing the titles on its own, while Vivendi has the naming rights of the franchise. The Chronicles of Spellborn is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game set in the Enclave of the Five Sacrifices. Developed by Dutch studio Khaeon Games, previously known for Alpha Black Zero, Spellborn uses the Unreal 2.5 Engine. EA announced today that it is lowering prices on its upcoming current generation PS2 and Xbox prices. This week Fight Night Round 3 is getting released, and should be in most retail stores by now, and gamers will only have to pay $39.99 for it, instead of the usual $49.99. But EA is not stopping with this one title, as also The Godfather and BLACK will be sold at that same price, a 20% reduction.

In a yet to be published interview with C&CG, Valve's designer/engineer Robin Walker reveals that it is already working on the second installment of its episodic series of Half-Life 2 expansions. This would also mean that Episode One is nearing completion, of which Walker also revealed it contains about 4-5 hours of gameplay. HL 2: Episode 1, previously known as HL 2: Aftermath is expected to be available through Steam on April 24th priced $19.99, with EA publishing a retail version shortly thereafter.
