Symantec Lawsuit Could Cause Windows Vista Delay

Symantec sued Microsoft on Thursday, accusing it of breach of contract and misappropriation of intellectual property in its incoporation of Veritas technology in Windows Vista. Symantec acquired Veritas last year and is seeking an injunction that would prevent further development, sale or distribution of Vista.

'Prey' (X360/PC) Demo Coming June 22nd

3DRealms announced that June 22nd is Prey day, as it will release a five-level single/multiplayer demo on PC, as well as Xbox 360 (available through Xbox Live Marketplace). Prey is a serious, dark story, based on authentic Cherokee mythology. Themes of sacrifice, love and responsibility are explored and the story dives into emotional territory not yet explored by similar games. We will, of course, have it on our fileserver network as soon as it's available.

Microsoft Reveals Windows Vista System Requirements

While the official release for Microsoft's next OS is still a ways off (early 2007), today the first details were revealed what it will take to actually run the beast. A 800mhz CPU with 512mb RAM will do the trick (1Ghz and 1 Gig RAM recommended), although graphically you will need a DX9-compatible card that supports Pixel Shader 2.0 with RAM ranging from 64mb up to 256mb, depending on your configuration.

'BioShock' (X360/PC) Also Coming to PS3!

According to the latest issue of OPM UK, 2K Games' hybrid first-person shooter BioShock is also coming to Sony's next-gen console. A two-page article tells all about how developer Irrational Games is combining elements of sci-fi and role-playing genres in the much-anticipated System Shock 2 sequel, now also coming to the PS3, and scheduled for March 2007.
