'World in Conflict' - v1.006 Details, Patch Coming Soon

Massive Entertainment announced that the World in Conflict update 6 is due soon. This sixth update primarily fixes some balancing issues, but also introduces a number of new features, including enhanced server filters, improved “Play Now” functions and measures against clan smurfing. Aside from that, there are also several additions to the various communications tools in the game.

'Team Fortress 2' New Map Coming This Month

You may’ve heard that new achievements, maps, and unlockable items are on the way. The first map, Goldrush, introduces a new game mode. The BLU team must escort a high-tech mining cart through a series of checkpoints to the RED base within a time limit. The more BLU players near the cart, the faster the cart moves. The cart stops if any RED team member is in the vicinity. Valve is currently the map; look for it within the month.

'Conflict: Denied Ops' (X360/PS3/PC) - 3 New Screens & Trailer

GameTap Pulling the Plug On 'Myst Online: Uru Live'

Myst Online: Uru Live is Cyan Worlds' online multiplayer version of Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, with dynamic new worlds, making use of real-time 3D rather than still images to bring players together online to explore incredible new worlds. Citing "business reasons," GameTap announced that it will discontinue Myst Online in 60 days.

Folding@home One Million PS3s Strong

American McGee Working on Second Project

American McGee, known for American McGee's Alice, revealed that, apart from working on the "Grimm" project, his China-based Spicy Horse studio has just started working on a second project. While details were not provided, it was revealed that it will be powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 3 and be a "multi-platform, twisted tale project." An update on "Grimm" indicates the title is at the halfway point, with 12 of 24 episodes finished.

The recently announced online game from Beijing-based Perfect World Network Technology, Chi Bi, based on John Woo’s feature film "Red Cliff," was inaccurately linked Woo to the game project. While Perfect World is developing the online game, there is no association, cooperation or involvement with Woo or his company Lion Rock Productions, and all quotes attributed to Woo regarding this project were fabricated.
