In PixelJunk Shooter, players pilot a subterranean exploration vehicle to explore the interior of diverse cave-like complexes. The player must affect the surrounding and dynamic terrain to progress. The goal is to safely navigate through each vivid stage and rescue survivors scattered about the cavernous environment.

Set 50 years after the climactic events of the original Red Faction, this third-person, open-world action-shooter will return to Mars and once again redefine the limits of destruction-based gameplay. The second Red Faction: Guerrilla DLC, Multiplayer Pack, will add eight new maps and two new modes.

More DLC was promised back in February, offering a much more combat-oriented and lighter-story experience, but not much has heard of it since. Xbox.com reveals that the DLC is set on a remote, top-secret Alliance space station, and will feature 13 exciting combat scenarios, giving fans another 2-3 hours worth of gaming.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is a 3rd-person action game powered by the Unreal Engine 3, that exposes players to a unique, dark and atmospheric adventure that takes them to the depths of Arkham Asylum – Gotham's psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane.

Tales of Monkey Island brings the adventures of pirate Guybrush Threepwood into a new era with an storyline that becomes deeper and more entangled during the course of the five-episode saga. While initially Tales of Monkey Island was only available as a package deal (all 5 episodes) Telltale has teamed with Amazon to offer each chapter separately.

Axel & Pixel, developed by 2K Czech, is a "point-and-click" adventure game in which players guide an artist and his dog through surreal and abstract environments. Players must solve environmental puzzles that include redirecting a ray of light, throwing rocks at birds, and spraying water at a creature.

A turn-based RPG that puts you in the role of a 14-year-old boy on a mission to rescue a princess from a wicked witch, Final Fantasy Gaiden no longer features a menu-based combat system but uses "charges"; you'll team up with others in a four-character squad customizable with a variety of weapons and armor.

NBA 2K10: Draft Combine will allow fans to create their own custom player and begin their career by experiencing the on-court life of an NBA hopeful. Watchmen: The End is Nigh is a hardcore mature action brawler featuring bloody visceral combat in settings which are reminiscent of the film. Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao is a stylized hand-to-hand action game that provides engaging, over-the-top combat and multiple gameplay modes to explore alone or with friends online.

In Manhunt 2 an experiment at a secret research facility has gone catastrophically wrong. Daniel Lamb and Leo Kasper are the only surviving subjects. The Pickman Project will stop at nothing to hunt them down and stop the truth from getting out. The controversy from a few years ago may be rekindled if Rockstar plans a re-packaged console version, but for now, it's PC only.

Details are limited, but Polyphony Digital revealed that GT5 will more than double Forza 3's number of cars, promising 1000 vehicles, 20 tracks in 60 different layouts, custom soundtrack support, and while there is a damage model, it will be limited to certain car manufacturers.

Lost Planet 2' story has advanced beyond Wayne Holden as players will now follow the exploits of their own customized snow pirates on their quest to seize control of E.D.N III. Players will move their heroes through different stories creating a truly unique and interactive experience. At GamesCom Lost Planet 2 producer Jun Takeuchi revealed that the devs are working on implementing, barring any unforeseen technical difficulties, two-player splitscreen.

The BioShock movie adaptation of 2K's action game will begin production in 2010, and John Logan (The Aviator, Star Trek: Nemesis) has written the screenplay, while BioShock creator Ken Levine is consulting. Earlier this year Pirates of The Carribean's Gore Verbinski hit a snag and the BioShock film was put on hold. Excessive budget concerns made Universal Pictures ask the involved parties to look for an alternate filming location. Due to the delay the filming now conflicts with Verbinski's next movie Rango, and while he is still going to produce, the directing has been passed on to 28 Weeks Later's Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

Former Majesco Santa Monica artist Valerie Schoman revealed that Majesco has decided to shut down the Los Angeles, California-based studio. A few years back, Majesco found itself in a spat of financial trouble, but after some rigorous cutbacks and restructuring has been on the path to recovery, so it comes as a surprise to hear about the closure. The L.A. studio developed two NDS titles (one due soon) and was said to be working on its first Wii game (thanks superannuation).

In Furry Legends, a casual action and platform game, players take control of unique characters who are best described as a furry ball, each with its unique powers, allowing the player to roll, jump, bounce, attack and perform other various moves with their spherical character. Without going into specifics, Furry Legends developer Gamelion revealed it's coming to new platforms.

Nintendo added a VC, a NDSi, and one WiiWare titles to the Shop Channels. Nintendo owners with online access can redeem Points to download: PictureBook Games: Mr. Driller W (Wiiware), Pop+ Solo (NDSiWare), and Super Empire Strikes Back (VC).

Pyro Studios, currently working on Planet 51, revealed that the Spanish studio will be working on a new installment in its popular Commandos franchise as soon as it wraps up the animated film-based action/adventure. While the first two titles were a big success, the 3rd one, making the move from strategy to 3d FPS, was not, so Pyro Studios has decided to go back to its roots and make Commandos 4 a real-time strategy game. No further details, nor a projected release date, were disclosed.
