Shadow Force: Razor Unit Ships to Retail

Activision Value Publishing, a division of Activision Publishing, Inc. has launched an assault on gamers everywhere with Shadow Force: Razor Unit, a newly released first person action game for the PC.

As a member of an elite covert strike force, players travel to global ``hot spots'' and make use of some of the military's most advanced weaponry and strategic tactics as they attempt to contain a hostile terrorist group. Shadow Force: Razor Unit is currently available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $19.99 and carries a rating of ``M'' for mature by the ESRB with a descriptor for blood and violence.

During the game's 10 missions, players are engaged in a variety of heart-pounding assignments including: securing airstrips, infiltration, sabotage and search and destroy. To help accomplish their goals, gamers access the latest military hardware including pistols, assault rifles, stinger missles and combat knives. Additionally, players make use of laser target designators to call in air strikes to help eliminate fixed emplacements or terrorist troop concentrations.

Shadow Force: Razor Unit also includes a multiplayer combat mode that features over a dozen varied multiplayer maps and different play modes including Deathmatch, Survival, Flag Capture and Team Deathmatch. Gamers can also tailor the multiplayer match to specific goals, such as win conditions or the types of weapons and ammunition available in the game. In addition to great multiplayer Gameplay the game fully utilizes Creative Lab's industry leading EAX 3.0 environmental sound technology, to immerse the user in the action.

Minimum system requirements include a Pentium 333Mhz (or AMD compatible processor), 64 MB RAM on Windows 95/98, 128 MB RAM on Windows ME/2000/XP, a DirectX® compatible Sound Card, 4 MB AGP 3D Accelerator with Direct 3D support, 450 MB of Hard Drive space, 4X CD ROM, DirectX 8a or higher, Mouse and Keyboard and Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP.
