'Puyo POP FEVER' (GBA/NDS) Announced

by Rainier on Feb. 23, 2005 @ 10:46 a.m. PST

Atlus U.S.A. announced today its plans to publish Puyo POP FEVER, the classic action-puzzle game scheduled to ship in April 2005 for the GBA and NDS. Puyo puzzlers rejoice as the fever returns on the Nintendo DS with its unique Touch Screen control and 8-player simultaneous puzzle action with a single Game Card, this is the definitive version of the classic puzzle game.

Once upon a time, in some other world there lived a young girl whose dream was to become a wonderfully clever magic user....

Puyo POP is pure Japanese cult that delivers a 'must have' multiplayer game for all ages...Puzzlingly Addictive!

The object of the game is to remove as many Puyo from the playfield as you can by connecting 4 Puyos of the same colour.

Sounds simple but with 4 different single player games, a 2 player link game and 4 player multiplayer modes, as well the addition of Puyo FEVER, this game will take a life time to learn.

Features:

  • Retaining the addictive qualities of its predecessors to the core, the additional fever mode adds a slightly different twist to the gameplay, providing opportunity to create a string of chain reactions that will annihilate your opponent if executed correctly.
  • Simplistic and extremely good fun, the game features single player and, highly entertaining, 'can't put the controller down', multiplayer options
