Game industry executives Jeff Lujan and Bob Drobish, two key executives behind publishing and operations at K2 Network, announced today that they have left the MMO service provider and together have formed the new global online publishing company, True Games Interactive.

While Senior Vice President of Global Publishing at K2 Network, Lujan led global publishing, product development, marketing and international business development. As Senior Vice President of Operations at K2 Network, Drobish was responsible for overall company revenue, Live Game Operations, Technology & Infrastructure, Customer Support, and India Operations.

At True Games Interactive, Lujan will serve as Chief Publishing Officer. His responsibilities include publishing, marketing, business development and product development. Drobish will serve as Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for business operation, live game operations, customer service and technology. Together with the company’s strong team of industry veterans, they offer an alternative approach and new business model to independent developers and publishers within the free-to-play, micro-transaction gaming segment. The company will use its founders’ marketing and micro-transaction expertise and a proprietary game platform to embrace existing Eastern content and is working closely with Western developers to produce and publish new content on a global scale.

“With the continued growth of the online game industry, True Games will be at the forefront with a new approach, a unique business model and a proprietary game platform,” said Bob Drobish, Chief Operating Officer of True Games. “We have been overwhelmed with the interest shown by potential development and publishing partners across the globe. We are thrilled with the speed of our progress and encouraged by the support, trust and interest in our new model.”

“Given the demand for online gaming and the tremendous development talent available, we want to embrace this opportunity and bring content of value and quality to this growing segment on an International scale,” said Jeff Lujan, Chief Publishing Officer of True Games. “We have built a strong team of talented industry veterans to lead True Games into the online gaming world and we are working with some of the industry’s most respected developers to deliver high-quality gaming experiences.”

True Games is currently negotiating several product deals and securing Series A funding. The company is based in Orange County, California and plans to launch its first title in the summer of 2008.
