by Rainier on Feb. 13, 2008 @ 3:47 a.m. PST

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) announced the expansion of its PlayStation social gaming catalog with the addition of three new games to the Buzz! franchise, Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz and Buzz! Jr. RoboJam exclusively for the PS2, and the previously revealed Buzz! for PSP.

Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz allows up to eight players to take part in an interactive quiz show experience featuring 5,000 questions based on Hollywood trivia. The game incorporates new and improved round types including Rollover, Fact or Fiction and Hollywood Stars, as well as hundreds of celebrity images and movie clips. Buzz!’s kid-friendly spin off, Buzz! Jr. RoboJam, lets players create custom robots and then compete in 24 new mini-games. Slated for simultaneous release on March 11, 2008, both games require buzzers to play and will be available as a bundled version that includes the buzzers and as a standalone version offered at a lower price.

Then, coming in the Summer of 2008, the popular game show host, Buzz, hits the road with Buzz! PSP. Packing over 5,000 questions on topics including music, celebrities, TV, sports, science, nature, movies and more, Buzz! PSP puts gamer’s knowledge to the test at home or on the move. Staying true to the franchise’s social gaming roots, Buzz! offers 6 new multiplayer and single-player modes designed specifically for PSP.
