Mark 'Max Payne' Wahlberg Doesn't Play Video Games

by Rainier on July 28, 2008 @ 2:39 a.m. PDT

Max Payne chronicles a lone man's nightmarish journey to the darkest depths of the criminal underworld in order to avenge the murders of his loved ones and make sense of a twisting web of betrayal and conspiracy.
Max Payne tells the story of a cop who wages a one-man war on crime when his wife and child are killed by thugs, but it is unclear whether the movie will follow the game plot. In Oct., the Max Payne movie is scheduled to launch, starring Mark Wahlberg (known for The Departed, Planet of the Apes or The Perfect Storm) and directed by John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, Flight of the Phoenix). In an interview at Comic-Con, Wahlberg revealed he hasn't played the game which his latest movie is based on due to him having "an addictive personality," and responsibility to his family.
