At the heart of PS3 is the Cell Broadband Engine, one of the most advanced computer processors in the world, that enables massive floating point calculation, and Blu-ray Disc (BD) drive, providing a High Definition (1080p) next-generation gaming and movie experience in the home, as well as up to 50 GB of data capacity.
Sony has rolled out new PlayStation Store content, starting with a slew of games for PlayStation Plus subscribers (Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days demo, echochrome, Hamsterball etc..), Sam And Max Ep. 4, demos for Blur, Deathspank, Gladiator Begins (PSP), DLCs for ModNation Racers, LittleBigPlanet, Just Cause 2, Trinity Universe, song packs for Guitar Hero 5, Rock Band, the usual game/movie trailers, and PS3 themes, and downloadable PSP/PS0ne games (Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4, Gravity Crash Portable, Young Thor).
