'Disintegration' (ALL) Open Beta Begins Today - Screens

by Rainier on Jan. 31, 2020 @ 1:35 a.m. PST

Disintegration is a sci-fi, first-person shooter that blends real-time tactical elements to create an entirely new experience.

In Disintegration, players will journey to the near future, when humankind is on the brink of extinction and turns to technology in their hope of survival. Through a process known as Integration, the human brain is removed and surgically encased into a robotic armature. A domineering enemy superpower known as the Rayonne emerges, driven mad by their newfound supremacy, and begin capturing what remains of humanity forcing them into robotic Integration.

Disintegration will feature a full single-player campaign where the player takes on the role of Romer Shoal, an expert in piloting a Gravcycle, a hovering quad-engine vehicle originally used for search and rescue missions that has been transformed into an armored chassis bristling with powerful weapons. Romer commands a small resistance force fighting to save what remains of humanity.

The game will also feature three different multiplayer game modes at launch, each with a variety of maps. These frantic team-based battles require smart coordination, utilizing ground units with individual abilities while simultaneously maximizing the destructive weapons on the Gravcycle. Players will choose from several Crews, each featuring a unique loadout and role in combat.

The open multiplayer technical beta for Disintegration begins today, available on PS4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.

The beta will available January 31, 18:00 GMT/10:00 AM PST- February 2, 7:59 AM GMT/11:59 AM PST, providing players with access to two of the three frenetic multiplayer game modes that will be available in the full game at launch.

In Retrieval, the first game mode, players compete in two intense rounds in which one team attempts to deliver a payload which can only be carried by their ground crew while the other team defends. In the second game mode, Control, two teams vie for domination over various capture points. Players must ensure their ground crew are alive and within the zone as this is the only way to accrue score to win the match.

Players will be able to play with seven of the final game’s unique crews in the beta, such as the damage-boosting Tech Noir or the nuke-launching Warhedz. The purpose of the betas is to ensure stability and collect feedback ahead of when the game launches later this year.

If you participated in this week’s closed beta, the open beta can be accessed using the same application. Otherwise, this can be downloaded directly on each relevant digital platform (Steam, PlayStation Store and Xbox Games Store).

Disintegration will launch digitally on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2020.
