'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' (ALL) Season 10 Lands Next Week, Will Add New Map, AI Enemy Faction

PUBG: Battlegrounds expands the core Battle Royale experience into a highly competitive player vs. player (PvP) game in a vivid open world.

Welcome to the ultimate battle for life and death

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will expand the core Battle Royale experience enjoyed by millions of players into a highly competitive player vs. player (PvP) game in a dynamic open world. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will put up to 64 players on a remote island for a winner-takes-all showdown where strategic gameplay is as important as shooting skills. Players will enter a last-man-standing battle where they try to locate weapons, vehicles and supplies in a graphically and tactically rich battleground that eventually forces players into a shrinking safe area as they engage in a tense and spectacular fight to the death.

When the match starts, players have no items or weapons. To progress, they can try to commandeer a vehicle to discover a high-value location, search for weapons or employ other diversified tactics with a goal of being the last man standing. All weapons can be upgraded with attachments such as sights and suppressors and both road and off-road vehicles will be available to players.

Kill or be killed in a fight to be the last man standing.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Season 10 features a new battleground named Haven, which is set in a unique environment that evolves players’ gameplay experiences. Survivors can drop into Season 10 when it releases for PC on Dec. 16 and Dec. 17 for consoles.

As a Season 10-exclusive map, Haven is PUBG’s most dense battleground to date. For the first time in PUBG’s history, this 1x1 map will feature 32-players descending into an urban environment rife with verticality and combat possibilities. Draped in a dust-time setting, the industrial island features several distinct areas, including: Carbon Steelworks, Coal Yards, Industrial Zone, Residential Zone, The Overpass, and The Docks. As Survivors battle each other across the streets and rooftops of Haven, they’ll need to keep an eye out for a new enemy faction known as “The Pillar” that roam the map.

Season 10 will also include several new mechanics that will require survivors to hide, seek, and survive.

  • Pillar Soldiers: A new enemy AI combatant known as “The Pillar” joins the battlegrounds. These private military contractors are known to protect valuable and high-tier loot caches throughout the map. Those brave (or foolish) enough to try and take down the Pillar Guards and the more dangerous Pillar Commanders will be handsomely rewarded for their efforts with powerful gear.
  • Pillar Tactical Truck: In an effort to lockdown the streets of Haven, the Pillar have brought in their own tactical truck to enforce their rule. The Pillar Tactical Truck is a new AI vehicle that roams the map hunting survivors and attacking them with its high-powered guns. Given that these trucks are highly armored, it is recommended that Survivors run or think twice before engaging in a firefight when one is near.
  • Pillar Scout Helicopter: Survivors can run, but they can’t hide. Similar to the Pillar Tactical Truck, the Pillar Scout is a new AI helicopter that roams the map looking to locate and identify survivors with its spotlight. Those unlucky enough to be caught by the light won’t want to stick around long enough for the Scout to radio the Tactical Truck for back-up.
  • Emergency Parachute: With verticality in mind, Haven has added a variety of elevated environments, such a highway and high buildings. With danger located at every corner, it’s more important than ever plan your escape. With the emergency parachute item, survivors can strategically leap off the high ground and manually deploy the parachute to glide their way to freedom.
  • Survivor Pass: Breakthrough: Survivor Pass: Breakthrough has all the gear you need to take on the mean streets of Haven. Featuring cool new looks based on lore characters and the new enemy faction, you'll have plenty of great rewards to unlock as you fight your way through all 100 levels of the pass. Breakthrough lasts for three months, so get started early and claim your new rewards!

Season 10 launches on Dec. 16 for PC and Dec. 17 for consoles. Survivors who want to preview Update 10.1 can do so today on the PC Test Server.

Key Features:

  • Custom Games: Being implemented after Early Access, this feature will allow select groups of players to create and host their own games with special server configurations, such as the number of players, option to spectate the round, play or set the game as private with password and more. Additional information about custom games will be announced after Early Access launch.
  • Realistic Gunplay: Players use real-world weapons found via supply drops to create an authentic and visceral experience.
  • Massive 8km x 8km World: Players begin as weak survivors and develop into powerful soldiers on a massive, deserted island set in Eastern Europe.
  • Built with Unreal Engine 4: PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds utilizes the latest development tools to deliver realistic visuals, animations and gameplay.
  • In-Depth Loot System: Players will uncover a wide variety of weapons, armor, attachments, and much more as they explore – and battle – across the world.
  • Player-Focused Metagame Tools: Leaderboards and statistics plus replays and spectator mode tools are coming after Early Access launch.
  • Loads of Localization: Launching into twelve languages (English, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic) with translations coming directly from the community.
