Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss announced a new charity initiative to help the victims of the Australian bushfire and Turkey earthquake. Via an in-game event, players can help raise funds that will be donated to charities dedicated to providing aid for these disasters.

The fires have already burned through millions of hectares of bushes, forests, and parks across Australia, taking the lives of more than thirty people and more than one billion animals and destroying thousands of homes.

In Turkey, the recent deadly earthquake strikes left hundreds of buildings in rubble, taking the lives of many and injuring thousands more.

This worldwide event will be available in all regions that the game is currently available in and will run until February 19th. By completing in-game tasks, players can raise up to ￦ 100,000,000 (~$84,000/€76,000), that will be donated by Pearl Abyss to help victims of these disasters, the final recipients of the donations will be announced at a later date.

Robin Jung, CEO of Pearl Abyss said: "We prepared a meaningful event in which adventurers from our service regions, 150 countries around the world including Australia and Turkey, can contribute donations." He continued: "We hope for a quick recovery and hope everyone affected can return to their everyday lives."

Here’s How to Participate

• Every [Event] Charity Token purchased by every adventurer who participates will be tallied up towards the donation made for the victims of Australia’s fires and Turkey’s earthquakes.
  • [Event] Charity Token can be purchased from Lara in Heidel for 1,000,000 Silver each.
  • Please note [Event] Charity Token item will be deleted when the event period ends.
  • Special titles will be given for adventurers in following cases:
    • The title Angel is in ‘Hex Pale Turquoise’ color.
• In addition, Lara will give you a special quest which you can complete by turning in [Event] Charity Token items for a special reward.
  • This quest is available once per Family.
  • [Event] Sprout of Life gives Interior Points +25, Energy Recovery +1 for 2 hours, and has 5 Durability.

The special in-game title ‘Angel’ will be given to top 10 donators of each region (NA and EU respectively). The titles will be sent with the following maintenance after the event ends and you will be able to claim your title from the Title tab under My Information (P) directly.

• This charity event is a collective event with every region of Black Desert Online and Black Desert Mobile participating. The total donation amount will be determined by the number of [Event] Charity Token reached.
• Please note only [Event] Charity Token purchased from Lara in Heidel will count and be tallied up.
• For top 10 donators on the list, Kakao Games EU B.V. will be sending a separate email at the end of the event period to ask for written consent to have your Family Name exposed publicly. If you do not wish to have your Family Name shown on the Top 10 list, please do reply stating this fact to the email received. Please note that even if your Family Name is not shown, you are still eligible to receive the special in-game title awarded to Top 10 donators of each region.
• Donations of money by Pearl Abyss to aid the victims of Australia’s fires and Turkey’s earthquakes will be made to charities which will be revealed at a later date. Please stay tuned for this update.
• Reward items given out through events can be Bound or not depending on the items. Thus, some items cannot be Moved or Restored. Please check the description of the item to confirm if it's Bound or not.
