The medieval town of Darksburg is plagued by hordes of zombies, and it is up to the few breathing locals remaining to do the dirty work.
In Darksburg, up to four players team up to rid the titular medieval town of the ravenous zombies that have overrun it. To survive the undead horde, various colourful characters with special powers and abilities are at the player’s disposal, including Varag, escaped werewolf and man’s part-time best friend, or the viciously compassionate Sister Abigail.
Players will have a roster of characters to choose from, each featuring a unique set of skills and backgrounds, from the compassionate (but not overly so) Sister Abigail and the cheerful innkeeper and zombie slayer Runolf, to the sardonic bounty hunter Rose and the escaped werewolf (and man's best friend) Varag.
Offering the best of challenging, fast-paced cooperative teamplay, players in Darksburg face off against the devious Revenants. These powerful zombie characters, either controlled by the AI or other humans in versus mode, will try their darndest to ambush our heroic band of misfits and thwart them in their quest for safety. Quick reflexes and expert use of the survivors’ distinctive abilities are needed to complete each objective-based map or to survive against overwhelming odds in the gruelling Last Stand mode.
Darksburg is coming to Steam Early Access on Feb. 12, 2020.
Darkburg’s Steam Early Access launch includes four playable Survivors, four playable Revenants, five immersive maps set in the town’s Harbor, Marketplace, and Faubourg districts, and three diverse game modes, including standard co-op mode, which pits players against the computer; a tense showdown between Revenants and Survivors in PvP mode; and Last Stand, a wave-based gauntlet that pushes players’ skills to the limit in an effort to survive.
