Dreams is a sandbox game, an endless explorative journey where players can create and share their dreams, and then surf an endless dreamiverse of single assets, games, animation, music and everything in between.Dreams is a space where you can go to explore and play the dreams of others and create and share your own.
In Dreams you can create collaboratively with others, on your sofa, live online, or you can build on their creations. You can immediately call up the work of other players, and collage it, remix it, modify it, and make it your own.
Creation, joint or solo, is as fast as sketching. We call it Performance; it's fast, intuitive, and rewarding. It's as simple as moving your controller to create your mark on the world. One button, create your mark.
Halloween is a special time in Media Molecules’ Dreams, and this year is no exception. The Dreams community of creators have come together to create a delightfully terrifying train ride called All Hallows’ Dreams: Ghost Train.
The Ghost Train event features sections of train track designed by Dreams community members, which were then stitched together by Media Molecule into one thrilling experience. Haunting surprises live along the tracks including targets for players to shoot and score points. The highest scores will be featured on a Dreams leaderboard.
All Hallows’ Dreams: Ghost Train begins departures from October 15 through November 1 and is compatible with PlayStation VR for deeper immersion into spooky season.
In addition to the Ghost Train, the Dreams pumpkin patch has been expanded this year to include community created scarecrows.
The Ghost Train
The headline attraction of our carnival, whispers of this haunted fairground attraction have travelled far and wide across the Dreamiverse. Buckle up as the Dreams community takes you on a tour through terrifying tracks made with our creation kit, which we’ve stitched together into the ultimate thrill-ride.
Choose your path across the ghost train’s many rails, shoot targets to set high scores and enjoy scares galore! And for the bravest among you? Try putting on your PlayStation VR* headset to experience the entire ride in virtual reality. Gulp.
Don’t own a copy of Dreams? Never fear: All Hallows’ Dreams: Ghost Train will also be available to play in the free Trial version of the game.
Pumpkins and Scarecrows
Last year’s pumpkin patch has had a bit of an upgrade. This year, in addition to giving our community creators a template to carve their own jack-o-lanterns, we challenged them to design their own scarecrows. The results are… horrifying.
Which is to say: fantastic job, everyone! You’ve officially creeped us out.
It’s well worth popping by the carnival’s creepy cemetery to admire these creations for yourself. Before you do, why not swing by the costume tent, and get in the Halloween spirit with your choice of fancy dress?
Quests and Minigames
A carnival wouldn’t be complete without prizes. Our Halloween hub is so much more interactive and alive this year, and the more you explore this strange and magical place, the more rewards you’ll discover…
Firstly, anyone who logs into the full version of Dreams from October 15 until November 1 that missed out on the Halloween Imps from last year’s event will instantly receive all of those imps.
In addition to this, we’ve got three brand-new imps to give out!
Everyone who logs into the full version of Dreams during the above time period will be rewarded with our friendly clown imp, Pag.
You can win Emmett, the scientist imp, through playing all the shooter puzzles in The Fearcade: Tent 1 – one of two tents full of weird and wonderful fairground minigames made by us at Media Molecule.
What’s more, inquisitive players will find that helping a mysterious (and unfortunate) character yields yet another prize… the satisfaction of being a good person. Just kidding! It’s another imp: Coco the scarecrow.

Even more!But that’s not all. As is tradition, we have our annual in-game Halloween Community Jam, which always delivers the goods (remember arcade survival game Ghost Geezers and spooky adventure Trick or Treatment from last year?).
