Games Done Quick is a grassroots organization best known for hosting the world’s premier charity speed-running events.

Summer Games Done Quick 2021 Online concluded its week-long 24-hour charity stream today, having raised more than $2.8 million for Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders. The event was broadcast live on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel and GamesDoneQuick.com. A video archive of SGDQ Online 2021 can be found on the official Games Done Quick YouTube channel.

Summer Games Done Quick 2021 Online ran from July 4-11 and was highlighted by memorable runs such as Plexa’s run of Golden Sun: The Lost Age, teddyras’s run of Gone Golfing, JCog’s cartridge-swapping run of Paper Mario, havrd’s perfect-score GeoGuessr run, and ZooKetra’s Nintendogs run, which was spoiled by the antics of a hilariously disobedient labrador retriever.

SGDQ Online 2021 will be followed later in the summer by the Fleet Fatales speedrunning event from August 15-21, 2021. Games Done Quick also announced that Awesome Games Done Quick 2022 will return January 9-16, 2022.

Since 2010, Games Done Quick has partnered with the world’s most impactful charities, including AbleGamers, Organization for Autism Research, and Prevent Cancer Foundation, all while bringing people together to cheer on the best speedrunners and gamers in the world. Games Done Quick events have raised more than $34 million in total for charity.
