'The Last Stand: Aftermath' Delayed Until Q4, Also Coming to PS4, PS5 And Xbox Series X|S - Trailer

by Rainier on July 15, 2021 @ 2:06 p.m. PDT

The Last Stand: Aftermath is a singleplayer rogue-lite action adventure where you take control of a survivor thrust into a cataclysmic zombie apocalypse.

The Last Stand: Aftermath aims to break completely new ground , offering a fresh roguelite take on the series, whilst retaining the atmosphere that made the original so striking.

Choose a survivor to set forth and explore the ruins of civilization, finding fuel to travel to new locations and gathering supplies to craft weapons and more. You'll need to stay on your toes, since hordes of zombies still roam the streets, and you're no superhuman.

In a unique twist, however, the survivor has been infected and must strike out to make the most of their final days by gathering supplies for those who will come after them, and hunting for the truth behind the renewed danger of the zombie virus, before they themselves succumb. But when one survivor dies, the player will immediately take control of another, who will benefit from the progress made by their predecessors.

The Last Stand: Aftermath looks to pose the question: how much can you give before you are gone forever?

You're going to die, but not until you're good and ready.

Publisher Armor Games Studios and developer Con Artist Games are pleased to announce that their zombie survival roguelite game The Last Stand: Aftermath is coming to Xbox Series S/X, PS5, and PS4 alongside the PC release in Q4 2021.

In addition, Armor Games has partnered with Merge Games to bring physical console versions of The Last Stand: Aftermath to retail.

"Our team is super excited to finally bring The Last Stand: Aftermath to long-time fans of the series (and hopefully some new ones) later this year. We're also thrilled to have the game coming to consoles, something we've been dreaming of since we started making games," said Chris Condon, game director at Con Artist Games.

To celebrate the announcement, a remastered bundle of the first three games in the series named The Last Stand Legacy Collection has been released on Steam today.

Key Features:

  • Sneak and fight your way through a dangerous post-apocalyptic wasteland
  • Dead Man Walking: Humans are fragile, it's rare one survives long out amongst the hordes alone. Luckily, this infection makes you something else, something more. As your humanity ebbs and the affliction takes hold, you'll discover new limits and abilities you never knew were buried deep within your DNA. Utilize your newfound skills to scavenge for weapons and medicine, or the materials you can use to make them.
  • Explore and Craft: Explore a constantly shifting cityscape to find materials to craft new tools, weapons, and remedies. If you're lucky you'll find medicine, letting you roam for longer.
  • Fight with the Infection: As the infection mutates your body, discover new and unexpected abilities that will let you decimate the undead hordes before they overwhelm you.
  • Roguelike Loop: Death is assured, but the story doesn't end there. Venture out as a newly infected survivor again, and again, and again as everyone makes their Last Stand.
  • The Beginning of The End: With the promise of death ahead of you, you're determined to make your last stand one for the record books: securing more supplies, and destroying more undead than anyone before.
  • A tense and moody, atmospheric zombie experience

The Last Stand: Aftermath is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) in Q4 2021.
