Fresh investment and a reinvigorated management team will allow for Feardemic’s aggressive expansion plans in its core business of horror game publishing.

An experienced business leader, Scott Millard succeeded Piotr Babieno and assumed all fiduciary responsibilities from Friday July 30th, 2021. Piotr Babieno will continue to focus on Bloober Team, who will remain Feardemic’s largest shareholder.

Scott Millard came to Feardemic in early 2020 as Managing Director, quickly building a new management team and adding several new video game projects to the roster, significantly improving the company’s fiscal position.  Mr. Millard is a seasoned games industry executive who started his games career with Sega Ozisoft in Australia. He previously served as Managing Director, Atari and then Bandai Namco Southeast Asia and Korea. He also consulted for various companies, most notably establishing distribution networks for Bethesda’s Skyrim and Elder Scrolls Online in the Asia regions as well as launching consumer electronics brands in Asia such as Turtle Beach and US-based high-end headphone manufacturer Grado.

In addition to his appointment, Scott Millard has purchased a stake in the business and is presently the second largest shareholder behind Bloober Team.

Regarding the appointment, Mr. Millard stated “I am proud to not only be CEO, but most importantly a partner in Feardemic. I see enormous potential and growth opportunities in the business. The horror narrative is one of the most predominant threads in the stories that developers tell through game development. I look forward to Feardemic becoming one of the most recognizable brands in the business of video game publishing while enriching the market with a wide range of diverse gaming products that will explore the entire spectrum of the horror narrative through multiple gameplay genres”.

Piotr Babieno said “Building great companies take a lot of effort and imagination and Scott has shown himself to hold true to our original vision of Feardemic and bringing great operational skills to the company. He has built a great team and Bloober Team looks forward to supporting him and his team over the coming years to help make Feardemic into a truly great company”.

On the same date of Mr Millard’s appointment and investment in the company, Feardemic welcomed four new shareholders to the company from various private and institutional vehicles.
