'Hitman III' Kicks Off Season of Gluttony, Content Roadmap Revealed - Trailer

by Rainier on Aug. 31, 2021 @ 12:05 p.m. PDT

Hitman World Of Assassination is the dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy, taking players around the world on a globetrotting adventure to sprawling sandbox locations, with Agent 47 returning for the most important contracts of his career.

Supported by his Agency handler, Diana Burnwood, Agent 47 joins forces with his long-lost friend Lucas Grey. Their ultimate mission is to eliminate the partners of Providence, but they are forced to adapt as their hunt intensifies. When the dust settles, 47 and the world he inhabits will never be the same again.

Featuring six meticulously detailed locations packed full of creative opportunities, Hitman III gives players the unrivaled freedom to complete their objectives in a game world that reacts to everything they do. All of this is made possible by IOI’s award-winning Glacier technology, which powers Hitman III’s immersive game world to offer unparalleled player choice and replayability.

Hitman III players can import locations from the previous games in the trilogy and have more than 20+ locations under one roof. All of the improvements to rendering, animation and AI introduced with Hitman III can be enjoyed across all three games, making Hitman III the ultimate place to play the entire World of Assassination trilogy.

With the launch of Hitman III’s Gluttony DLC comes an entirely new season of free content. Here’s what you can expect from Hitman III’s Season of Gluttony

The Season of Gluttony Roadmap (August 31 – September 27) includes:

  • September 3: The Procurers (Hitman IIIElusive Target)
  • September 9: Play Bangkok for free
  • September 9: Featured Contracts by Screen Rant
  • September 17: The Food Critic (Hitman Elusive Target)
  • September 23: Featured Contracts by the Hitman community

Prepare for a feast. The Season of Gluttony has arrived.

A brand new season of content is just about ready to serve and brings a little bit of everything; Elusive Targets, Featured Contracts and more.

It all starts with Act 5 of the Seven Deadly Sins. This premium content packs in the Gluttony Gobble Escalation, the Maximalist Shotgun, Bubble Queen Gum Pack and the Profligacy Suit. Take a look!

The Procurers: Dartmoor Elusive Target

Two well-travelled indviduals have found themselves in Dartmoor. The Procurers each have unique talents; one is a famous chef behind some of the world’s most innovative cuisine. The other is an embalmer. Together, they’ve forged an unusual bond and made some powerful enemies. That’s where you come in. From September 3rd, you’ll have 10 days to finish them.

Location Rotation: Bangkok

The Himmapan Hotel is your next destination on our free location rotation, where you get a taste of locations from across the World of Assassination. This luxury hotel and spa in Bangkok comes equipped with its own restaurant, making it the perfect fit for this season. HITMAN 3 owners and Free Starter Pack players can enjoy this location for 10 days, starting on September 9.

Featured Contracts from ScreenRant

Here we go. A bountiful batch of gluttonous Featured Contracts is in the works at Screenrant and they’ll be ready to devour on September 9. The theme is gluttony and Chongqing is the destination.

The Food Critic: Bangkok Elusive Target

Wen Ts’ai is one of the world’s most highly influential food critics. He has an incredible eye for detail and will criticise the smallest of errors. He’s recently acquired a security team to protect him whilst he samples the Himmapan hotels award-winning dishes. This is your moment to strike.

If this is your first time playing an Elusive Target in Bangkok, the Casual Suit with Gloves will unlock if you can complete the contract and make it out alive. Good luck.

Featured Contracts from the Hitman Community

The second batch of Featured Contracts this season is in the hands of the Hitman community. The best submissions will be reviewed by IOI and added to the game for all players to enjoy. Expect creativity, intricacy and a lot of fun.

What’s next?

HITMAN 3’s Season of Envy will start on September 28 and will bring the penultimate act of the Seven Deadly Sins, a full roster of live content, new unlockable items and the highly-requested return of ‘Shoulder Swap’ (aka the ability to swap which of Agent 47’s shoulder the game camera is positioned behind).

Look out for the full reveal of the Season of Envy on the IOI Insider livestream before September 28.

Gluttony and any of the past or future individual installments can be purchased individually for $4.99 or players can buy the whole Seven Deadly Sins collection for $29.99.

Hitman III’s sandbox locations give you complete freedom to approach your objectives in any way you want. As well as the new multi-function camera, you’ll also be able to interact with the game world in new ways to access new opportunities and paths through each level. Want to organize a meeting with your target? Check. How about opening elevator doors to access a new route? You can do that too and so much more.

As you explore each mission and complete challenges, you’ll rise through 20 Mastery tracks that will unlock new tools, weapons and even Starting Locations that will let you begin your next playthrough with a big advantage – possibly even in a disguise. All of the items and weapons that you unlock in a Mastery track are added to your permanent inventory, so you’ll be able to pick and choose from them no matter what mission you want to take on next.

Hitman III has been made with replayability front and center. You simply cannot see and do everything that a mission has to offer in a single playthrough, and the Mastery tracks keep things fresh as you take new approaches, use new items and discover previously unexplored areas.

Depending on how you choose to complete your objectives, you’ll be awarded with a Playstyle at the end of each mission. From the coveted Silent Assassin to a Hired Gun and everything in between, there’s a Hitman style for every player. Maybe you’re a Marksman?

Hitman III will have full PS VR support. Yes, that means you can traverse the outside of the tallest building in the (Hitman) world in PS VR! If you own the previous games from the trilogy on PS4, you can also access locations from them within Hitman III. That’s more than 20 Hitman locations from the World of Assassination trilogy to enjoy in PS VR.

You can either play Hitman III in PS VR natively on your PS4 or via backward compatibility on PS5. To make sure all PS VR owners can experience the game in VR, we’re including a free digital copy of the PS4 version of Hitman III with all PS5 copies, whether you choose to buy it via disc or digital.

Hitman III will look, sound and play better than ever with improvements to lighting, reflections, animation and AI. Chongqing also features full water effects, with details such as rain drops hitting Agent 47 and his clothes getting wet, all adding to the immersion of experiencing Hitman III.

On next-gen consoles, Hitman III will run in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second with HDR support.

Hitman III is currently available for Nintendo Switch (through Cloud Technology), PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC (Epic Games Store).
