Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2022 will be held over two days on February 18 & 19, 2022 for Dragon Ball fans around the world to enjoy. In the Americas, the event hours are as follows:

• Day 1: February 18th (Friday) 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM EST / 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM PST
• Day 2: February 19th (Saturday) 12:00PM - 8:00PM EST/ 9:00 AM PST - 5:00 PM PST

The inaugural Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour online event took place in March 2021 with a mission of delivering a special experience like no other to Dragon Ball fans around the world. Dragon Ball fans from twenty-three different countries and regions gathered online for the event, which ended with fervor and excitement. This second event will feature a greater catalog of popular content, while incorporating the latest in online event technology to deliver an even greater experience to Dragon Ball fans worldwide. 

Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2022 will feature a greater catalog of popular content than before. The popular "Online Arena" returns with new participatory experiences. The “Online Arena” is where participants can create their own avatars, cheer, and interact with other participants online. We're looking forward to bringing even more excitement to the fans of “Dragon Ball”!

Official “DRAGON BALL Games Battle Hour 2022” event schedule

Bringing excitement to the event with pulse pounding battles between powerhouse players and game producers

The event will feature heated battles putting the most exciting features of each home console game on display, including Dragon Ball FighterZ, the Dragon Ball Super Card Game trading card game, the Dragon Ball Legends smartphone game app, and the digital kids’ card game, Super Dragon Ball Heroes.

In response to the overwhelming feedback from fans, there will be a team tournament for Dragon Ball FighterZ where the best players from Japan, North America, and EU regions will come together to battle in the “Team & Draft Tournament.” The event will also feature a special live broadcast battle of Dragon Ball Legends, between the game’s producer and fans in the “Online Arena” area. World-class players will be fighting with all their might for glory and bragging rights, while the game producers will be doing their best to put up a fight in these heated battles, so don’t miss out!

Additionally, the producers of the upcoming home console videogame, Dragon Ball: The Breakers will be introducing and highlighting key new features of the game which is set to release this year. There will also be a special behind the scenes showing of Dokkan Data 2022, looking into the insights of the past seven years since the release of highly popular Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle mobile game.

Producers from different Dragon Ball games will also come together in an attempt clear Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 in record time. Leading the team is the game’s producer, Daisuke Uchiyama (currently Bandai Namco Studio Inc., President & CEO) followed by game producers from the previous event along with a cadre of younger producers. Introducing quizzes and a fashion show for all the “Dragon Ball” fans to enjoy together!

For this year’s event, the highly popular “Online Arena” powers up for its return, offering participants an opportunity to create a personalized avatar for interacting with others and participate in events designed to bring fans together from around the world. Using the personalized avatar, attendees can participate in a multiple choice quiz tournament, watch fashion leaders from the Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2 Super Fashion Show strut down the runway up-close, and cheer for their favorite team while wearing matching team color attire as they watch the Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament, “Team & Draft Tournament.”

Bringing fans around the world together with the “Dragon Ball” anime series opening music! Special performance to be streamed!

Furthermore, the event will be streaming special live performances featuring three special artists. The previous event featured Hironobu Kageyama’s “Special Live” half-time show where fans raised the voltage by coming together to sing along in the comments section of the event. The “Special Live” half-time show for this year’s event will feature a dream collaboration with the Dragon Ball anime series opening music. For this year’s event, Hironobu Kageyama returns and is joined by U-ya Asaoka, and Hiroki Takahashi. Participants will not want to miss this opportunity to savor the history of the Dragon Ball series through this special live performance. 

New events featuring specialists from different vocations come together to take on the challenge!

Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2022 will also feature an assortment of events outside of the video game realm. For Dragon Ball fans who are also foodies; chef, restaurateur, and the first Japanese gold medalist of the 2004 5th World Chinese Cuisine World Championships (a prestigious Chinese cooking competition held in Guang Zhou, China), Kinya Komoda will take to the stage in “Kakarot Cooking” to recreate menu items that appear in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. 

Balloon art pioneer and the first Asian balloon artist to win at the acclaimed Twist & Shout Balloon Convention held in the USA, SHINO will be depicting characters from Dragon Ball with balloons. 

The winner of the Japan Juggling Festival, the talented juggling duo, Synchronicity will use 3,000 Rubik’s Cubes to create the event’s key visual. 

And finally, character bento (Japanese lunch box) artist, Riyu will also challenge herself in making a Dragon Ball themed bento.

In commemoration of the event, official event goods and limited-edition products will be made available in the US and Canada through the official Bandai Namco America webstore site. Fans can purchase commemorative items and enjoy them with Dragon Ball fans around the world.
