Tetris 99 features online competitive modes exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online members. Owners of the digital version of the game can purchase the optional Big Block DLC, which adds several offline modes, like CPU Battle and Local Arena.

The colorfully oddball Super Mario RPG game is bringing some extra oomph to the Tetris 99 game for the Nintendo Switch  in the 36th MAXIMUS CUP!

Jump to the top and become the star player in this Tetris 99 challenge featuring the vibrance and charm of Super Mario RPG.

The Tetris 99 36th MAXIMUS CUP event runs from 11 p.m. PT on Nov. 9 to 10:59 p.m. PT on Nov. 13. To participate, any Nintendo Switch Online member just needs to play the Tetris 99 online mode during the event period.

Players will earn event points based on their placement in each match. Once players have accumulated a total of 100 event points, a new theme will unlock, featuring background art, music and Tetrimino designs inspired by Super Mario RPG.
