Merge Games are excited to open the doors to ‘Giant’s Fall Chapel & Crypt’ in the first of many content updates coming for Smalland: Survive the Wilds, currently available through Early Access (Steam and Epic Games Store).

The new update will open up the next chapter of the story, introducing two new NPCs, along with the new areas of the map, a deadly new enemy, a powerful sword and armor set, metal building materials and more.

Journey deep into the ruins of Giant’s Fall Chapel and brave the creeping, crawling dark of the Crypt in pursuit of ancient relics which will reveal the next chapter of the Smalland saga.

In these brand new areas, players will experience the next chapter in the Smalland story. Meet with two brand new NPCs, the Historian and Merchant, while battling hordes of your latest enemy... the swarming Colony Spiders.

Tame old foes with the Hornet mount, while using the new pyrite resource to craft a brand new armour set and weapon and trade with the merchant for new metal building parts.

Oh, and did we mention CATAPULTS?!

Developed and published in-house, Smalland: Survive the Wilds launched via Steam and Epic Games Store back in March. Following years of player anticipation, the game hit a peak of over 52k daily players in launch week, and has delivered over 1.5 million hours of viewing for Twitch streamers, inspiring hundreds of YouTube videos along the way.

Key Features:

• Explore the vast “Land of the Small": Traverse lake sized puddles, scale skyscraper sized trees, scramble through cavernous cracks in roads, as you experience a huge open world from a new perspective. Explore dense forests, hazardous swamps and strange ruins left over from the time before. Uncover lore and knowledge from hidden NPCs scattered throughout the world and learn to survive in this vast wilderness.
• Tame and ride creatures: Uncover recipes that will let you tame and ride an array of critters. Leap huge distances on the back of a Grasshopper, zoom around on a Damselfly, scurry from place-to-place on a Spider. This world and its inhabitants are yours to conquer.
• Survive together: Play alongside friends with support for up to 10 players in multiplayer. Explore together, fight together, build together and survive the wilds as a team. For those who prefer to take the fight to others, PvP is toggleable by the host.
• Build encampments on the ground or amongst the trees: Scavenge or refine resources to build your encampment with multiple material tiers, from leaves and twigs to sturdy stone. Pick your favorite spot in the world and build, or scale vast trees and claim your own settlement at the top.
• Craft powerful armor sets: Collect powerful armors that provide you with resistances and abilities and mix them up to personalize your appearance. Glide through the skies in winged armor, swing from tree to tree with the grappling hook and many more.
• Survive the Wilds: Most of the creatures you encounter will see you as lower on the food chain – Ants, Cockroaches, Beetles, Wasps, and Spiders all view you as a potential meal. Weather conditions and seasons are in constant flux so if you want to survive for another day, preparation is key.
