'Yupitergrad 2: The Lost Station' Gets PC VR Release Date, Includes Cosmic Clarity Update - Trailer

by Rainier on Aug. 21, 2023 @ 10:32 a.m. PDT

Yupitergrad 2: The Lost Station is an adventure full of puzzle-solving, wacky humor, spatial stunts, and space acrobatics!

Let’s get back to the VR adventure on the space station! Yupitergrad 2: The Lost Station is more action-packed, ambitious, and expanded than its predecessor.

Yupitergrad 2: The Lost Station will offer an interesting story spiced with a large dose of characteristic humor, combined with the possibility of free exploration of the vast space station, on which our hero finds himself after receiving a mysterious signal. Players will be able to freely explore the environment in virtual reality, swinging on ropes (like space Tarzan), look for hidden secrets and ways to unlock further passages and inaccessible areas. And now, combat comes to that as well.

The mysterious space station will not be completely deserted. Rebellious robots will stand in our way so the game will be even more fast-paced. Creators will equip players with deadly weapons to fight hostile machines. Thanks to that game will be even more action-packed.

After its release on Pico, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro and HTC XR Elite, players will now be able to swing around the space station on the Steam platform!

Additionally, to the Steam release, Gamedust has made some significant improvements to the game across all platforms August 17th, called the Cosmic Clarity. This will also be already included in the Steam version upon release. These include map navigation and guidance as well as overall gaming experience. Lighting effects, optimization, revamped skybox and minor bug fixes are just some of the few changes and the full list can be seen below:

  • Adding goal locations in part of the objectives to better guide the player;
  • Multiple signposts changes to improve the navigation and experience of travelling around the space station;
  • Multiple visual map improvements, to make the map even more readable and easy to use;
  • Totally revised skybox that makes outer space look beautiful, fun and mysterious;
  • Unification of the text on all in-game screens;
  • Improved in-game lighting, so that the locations gain more atmosphere;
  • Minor decoration changes;
These changes were made in hopes to make the game more pleasurable and enhance players' gaming experience. The developers are looking forward to further updates and creating more exciting and adventurous experiences in the future!

Besides combat developers will introduce new mechanics. Yupitergrad 2: The Lost Station will be the first modern Metroidvania type of game in VR. Players will be provided with unique equipment (gadgets) that will help them move around the space station and solve various environmental puzzles, including well-known grappling hooks with suction cups for swinging and boosters.

Currently available for Meta Quest 2/Meta Quest and ProPico platforms, Yupitergrad 2: The Lost Station is coming to PC (Steam) at a later time.
