Minecraft is a game based on limitless creativity and building in a three dimensional sandbox world.

In addition to a Minecraft movie, Netflix & Mojang Studios announced that an animated Minecraft series is officially in the works.

The animated series will feature an original story with new characters, showing the world of Minecraft in a new light.

The CG-animated series is in development at Canadian studio WildBrain, known for other Netflix projects such as Sonic Prime, Ninjago: Dragons Rising and Carmen Sandiego.
