by Rainier on July 22, 2024 @ 1:36 a.m. PDT

French video game publisher Microids is excited to announce its participation at this year's gamescom, showing off 3 titles.

From August 21 to 25, 2024, visitors to Hall 6, booth B060 (alongside Astragon Entertainment) will have the opportunity to experience first-hand three of the publisher's latest and most exciting titles.

Not only insect fans but also strategy lovers should not miss the presentation of Empire of the Ants!

Inspired by Bernard Werber's iconic saga, players take on the role of a brave ant named 103.683e in the third-person view. An exciting adventure awaits them, in which they must lead an ant colony to prosperity through tactical and strategic battles in a world of epic scale. Strategy, exploration, combat and alliances with the local wildlife are essential to overcome the many challenges that await players.

Those who don't need solid ground under their feet and would rather embark on a pirate adventure can look forward to Flint: Treasure of Oblivion.

Players are transported back to the golden age of piracy in this turn-based tactical RPG and join Captain Flint, his second-in-command Billy Bones and their band of veterans of the seas in search of a legendary treasure that promises freedom and riches!

What goes on in the head of a sleeping Smurf?

Gamescom visitors can find out in The Smurfs - Dreams. Gargamel has hatched another diabolical plan... This time he has cast a cunning spell on the Sarsaparilla bushes, the Smurfs' favorite food, to put our little friends into a deep sleep. Players embark on a magical expedition to awaken all the Smurfs before Gargamel reaches their village. In a world where dreams can turn into nightmares, the fate of the Smurf Village is in your hands alone!
