Garena Online Private Limited and KADOKAWA CORPORATION announced that the anime adaptation of the popular mobile game Garena Free Fire, has been officially titled Free Fire Daybreak.
The series, co-produced through a joint investment by the two companies, is scheduled to premiere in Spring 2027 and will be broadcast and streamed worldwide, including in Japan.
Alongside the announcement, the anime's key visual was unveiled, while the official promotional trailer will premiere this week.
Set in the futuristic metropolis of New Dawn, Free Fire Daybreak follows protagonist Kelly, who awakens with no memory of her past and is drawn into Horizon Corporation's mysterious "Project Bloom".
Capturing the series’ distinctive atmosphere, the newly released key visual shares a first look at the anime’s central cast, with Kelly joined by Hayato and Moco as they prepare to face the trials ahead. Reflected within the shattered glass fragments is a glimpse of Kelly after awakening a special ability, offering fans an early hint at the transformation that awaits her.
Free Fire Daybreak Overview
In the near-future city of New Dawn, ruled by the powerful Horizon Corporation, 16-year-old Kelly becomes entangled in the experimental "Project Bloom" and awakens “Limit Break”, an extraordinary ability capable of unlocking anything that has been sealed away.
As fragments of her past begin to resurface, Kelly joins newfound allies to uncover the conspiracy surrounding Horizon Corporation and confront the forces threatening the future of New Dawn.
