'SiN: Reloaded' Comes To Nintendo Switch/2, PlayStation, Xbox And PC In September

by Rainier on Aug. 19, 2026 @ 11:48 a.m. PDT

SiN: Reloaded is a completely remastered experience of the classic 1998 shooter.

Originally released by Ritual Entertainment, SiN was a groundbreaking story driven FPS brimming with memorable characters, horrific enemies and a devastating arsenal. Now SiN has been Reloaded with remastered visuals, modernized control schemes, and includes the Wages of SiN extra mission pack.

When the CEO of SinTEK Industries begins injecting the streets with a DNA-altering drug, it's time to reassess the laws of morality. When the same twisted bio-chemist plans to overtake the world with her unholy army of genetically-engineered mutants, it's time to rewrite the golden rule. You are Colonel John R. Blade, head of the most prominent private protection agency in Freeport. Now Elexis Sinclaire is waging her holy war against the security industry...and you along with it. You've made a religion out of fighting crime. Now you're going to make Elexis pay for her sins.

Known for pushing the Quake II engine to its limits, the original SiN was lauded for introducing a groundbreaking amount of interactivity in every level. Players can hack their way into computer terminals using DOS-style code, use elevators and security cameras to wreak havoc, and traverse levels using a variety of vehicles, including a forklift, a patrol boat, and a helicopter. Your actions have consequences, creating branching paths as the game progresses. From a combat perspective, SiN also helped pioneer the ability to knock weapons out of an opponent's hands and take area-specific damage from their attacks.

SiN: Reloaded includes the Wages of SiN mission pack, where you go up against a diabolical mafia boss with a new army of dangerous freaks. Both games have been optimized using the KEX Engine to play on modern systems. Graphics have been beautifully remastered with new textures, while control schemes have been modernized, and maps have been improved with Nightdive’s established precision. There’s never been a better way to get … naughty.

It’s time to pay for your sins, #$!%&!
