Fight to survive in this dangerous and unforgiving era, with action brought to life by the authentic realism and rich storytelling that the critically acclaimed Mafia series is known for.
Marking the start of a new crime saga for the acclaimed Mafia franchise, Mafia: The Old Country is an all-new story set in the Mafia universe, harkening back to the roots of organized crime with a compelling new cast of characters.
As a linear, narrative-driven game, Mafia: The Old Country is a focused package perfect for fans looking to engross themselves in an unfamiliar world of danger and intrigue. The graphically stunning cinematic experience features a story grounded in the brutal world of organized crime that authentically immerses players with dangerous combat systems featuring high-stakes, grounded stealth and gunplay mechanics.
Mafia: The Old Country introduces a new, original protagonist for players to embody. Enzo's story unfolds in a time when skill with a stiletto blade was a deadly asset, a lupara sawed-off shotgun was a go-to firearm, murderous vendettas raged for decades, and mafiosi patrolled their protection rackets on foot, horseback, or behind the wheel of turn-of-the-century motorcars.
Through grit and determination, Enzo has survived a childhood of indentured labor in Sicily’s hellish sulfur mines. Now, through a twist of fate, he has the opportunity to join Don Torrisi's crime family, and will do whatever it takes to carve out a better life for himself. By swearing an oath, Enzo has committed himself to the Torrisi family's code of honor, with all the power and hardship it entails. He must never forget this simple truth: Family Takes Sacrifice.
The Man of Honor expansion for Mafia: The Old Country arrives August 14, featuring two new story chapters set in the earlier days of Enzo Favara’s service to the Torrisi crime family, letting you team up with respected mafioso Ennio Salieri to settle old scores. In addition to the two new story chapters, owning the Man of Honor expansion grants you access to a new set of exclusive jobs and extreme challenges we’re adding to Free Ride mode, along with new collectibles and locations added to the Valle Dorata map.
In the Man of Honor Gameplay Trailer above, you can get your first look at the DLC's Free Ride additions, with narration from Josh Zammit, Design Director at Hangar 13.
Regarding the two new chapters in Man of Honor, which explore a previously unseen period in Enzo's early days as a soldato, we're adhering to the omertà code of silence so you can experience the narrative for yourself. Owning Man of Honor gives you the option to play these new chapters as part of the main campaign, or you can access them directly provided you've progressed far enough in the story.
Salieri's Challenges
Before he emigrated to America and became the Don of his own crime family in Lost Heaven, Ennio Salieri commanded respect as a made man in Sicily. You'll get to know Salieri's younger self in Man of Honor's new chapters, but he's also your main point of contact for the fresh assignments added to Free Ride mode. Salieri has set up a smuggling operation out of a warehouse in Porto Almaro, and he's eager to put Enzo to work on his latest schemes.
The missions that Salieri offers are split into two categories: Challenges and Jobs. Salieri's Challenges follow the format established by the existing Free Ride Challenges, but are tuned for higher difficulty that'll really test how well you've mastered turn-of-the-century cars and weaponry. Here's a full breakdown of the added Man of Honor Challenges:
- Standoffs: Wipe out multiple waves of enemies in these violent battles of endurance.
- Assassinations: Eliminate a priority target without alerting their guards, stealthily evading or executing any opposition along the way.
- Circuit Races: Get behind the wheel of your fastest car and complete a set number of laps around the track ahead of competing drivers.
- Road Sprints: Race against multiple opponents across the Valle Dorata in these point-to-point races.
Time Trials: Try to beat the clock and your previous bests as you barrel through these courses without opponents getting in your way.
Salieri's Jobs
Salieri has his sights set on a new life in America, but making that dream a reality takes serious cash. He's spotted a few lucrative opportunities scattered across the valley, and naturally, he needs Enzo to help pull them off.
These jobs are dirty work, plain and simple: cracking open safes packed with cash, making off with high-value cars, or hauling stolen goods across town before rival smugglers beat you to the punch.
To see what Salieri has lined up, drop by his Warehouse in Free Ride mode. Get the job done right, and he'll make sure you get a fair cut of the take.
Collectibles and Activities
Along with the contracts on offer from Salieri, owning Man of Honor also adds a bevy of collectibles and optional activities to discover around the Valle Dorata. You never know when you'll stumble upon one of these while exploring, and completionists should be ready to search far and wide to find them all:
- Wanted Posters: Collect an assortment of posters with mugshots of notorious outlaws and records of their heinous crimes.
- Stunt Jumps: Hit ramps to catch air in early-1900s automobiles, soaring in ways the Sicilian countryside has never before seen.
Sulphur Trucks: Locate and destroy trucks transporting sulphur as a means of revenge against those who betrayed Salieri.
Man of Honor New Items
The Man of Honor Gameplay Trailer offers a good look at the powerful weapons introduced in this expansion, but there's plenty more to add to your collection via the new content. Here's a list of the added items you can snag using your reserves of in-game Dinari; beyond the ones shown in the gameplay footage, you'll have to find them yourself to see their effects and appearances.

Additional Free Ride Content
If you haven’t played Mafia: The Old Country yet, Free Ride mode lets you explore the Sicilian countryside at your own pace, or take on a collection of repeatable Challenges separate from the critical path that include combat encounters, stealth missions, and different kinds of races. In the new Man of Honor Free Ride content, you’ll take on new assignments from Salieri himself, who has set up shop in a Porto Almaro warehouse where he spends his days devising new schemes and smuggling stolen goods.
With Salieri as your new point of contact for Man of Honor’s Free Ride content, you’ll drop by his hideout to pick up two types of contracts: Challenges and Jobs. Salieri’s Challenges follow a similar format to the ones you can currently take on in Free Ride mode, but with amped-up difficulty that will test the mettle of even the most seasoned soldato. Salieri’s Jobs introduce brand-new mission types, tasking you with tracking down your objective and dealing with anyone who tries to get in your way. Seeking hidden caches of valuable loot, towing high-value vehicles back to Salieri, delivering stolen trucks full of precious-but-fragile goods—whichever job you take, success will line your pockets with extra Dinari.
You can spend those ill-gotten gains to add new outfits, Charms, weapons, vehicles, and horses to your collection, all exclusive to this expansion. As you can see in the gameplay footage, the unique weapons and Charms you can earn in Man of Honor gave us space to play around with perks that push just beyond the bounds of period-accurate realism.
For example, take the Rimbalzu throwing knife, which bounces to a second target so you can quickly and silently take down multiple enemies from the shadows. It would take near-impossible skill to throw a ricochet between targets every time, but the effect is incredibly fun and empowering, especially for players who prefer the stealthy approach. We wanted to design fresh and exciting weapons for a range of playstyles, and the added stopping power of these additions to Enzo’s arsenal can help give you an edge during Salieri’s most difficult assignments.
Along with all the new items and missions on offer, there are plenty of optional activities you can seek out as you explore the Valle Dorata. Keep your eyes peeled for collectible Wanted Posters which, in keeping with a fun series tradition, use members of our development team (myself included) in period-accurate attire for their mugshots. You can also soar through the air in your turn-of-the-century automobiles via added Stunt Jumps, or destroy delivery trucks loaded with sulfur to hit back at the people who betrayed Salieri.
