'Rayman Legends Retold' Needs More Time, Delayed Until December

by Rainier on Sept. 14, 2026 @ 3:42 p.m. PDT

Rayman Legends Retold is a remake of the 2013 Rayman Legends 2D platformer, adding a new world to explore, a new villain, 3D visuals and 1-4 player couch co-op.

Rayman Legends Retold builds on the charm of the original 2013 game, now brought to life with stunning 3D visuals, a brand-new story and fully voiced cinematics. Players can join Rayman, Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus, and Murphy on a new adventure to restore peace to the Glade of Dreams, threatened by a shadowy villain spreading chaos across the realms. Playable solo or with up to four players in couch co-op, players can experience iconic fast-paced platforming as they leap, glide, and punch their way through a never-before-seen sixth realm, epic boss battles and worlds filled with hidden Teensies to rescue.

With new and improved gameplay, players can dive into a rich selection of returning levels, take flight on thrilling dragon rides, test their skills in the Cave of Trials, and jam through four all-new musical stages. They will also be able to explore a reimagined Glade of Dreams, now more immersive than ever, featuring new character encounters and surprises around every corner. In addition, Kung Foot returns with improved controls, power-ups, and customizable rules, delivering hours of frenzied competition.

Throughout their journey, players can enjoy an expanded soundtrack that blends fan-favorite original themes with new compositions from acclaimed composers Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope.

Hello Rayman fans,

Rayman Legends Retold will release on December 3rd.

While the game has officially gone gold, we have decided to take extra time to make sure every detail gets the care it deserves.

In the meantime, we can't wait for you to see what we've been working on, starting with a Game Overview trailer on September 22. That same day, a selection of creators and press will share fresh hands-on impressions.

On behalf of all the teams working on this game, thank you for your patience, support and trust.
