The official site for the Half Life mod Desert Crisis has been updated with a lot of new screens the last days. Desert Crisis is a mod set in the near future, so there is a mix of modern weaponry (such as Desert Eagles and MP5's) and futuristic weapons (such as laser sniper rifles and plasma cannons).

Westwood just released a Map Editor for Emperor: Battle for Dune. You can dowload this new editor over at westwoods ftp.

Nival Interactive has released an updated demo of their 3D turn-based strategy game Etherlords, which contains not only the Duel mode of the original one, but also offers a chance to try out the strategy mode on two missions. Also a bonus map for the full game is available, titled Evil Dale. You find it here!

Lex Luthor explain that there is a bug in the installer for the new map for the Medal of Honor demo.. (thanks Blues) Here is a snap how to fix it:

I've discovered a little bug in the new released demomap "the hunt" which can be fixed easily. During the Installation the background sounds are installed at the wrong folder and that's why you don't hear any backgroundsounds in the new map. To fix this just extract the "Amb_M5_TownExt_2.mp3" file to the following place : "medalofhonorfoldermainsoundamb_stereo".. That should fix it all.

Microids is working on a new 3D adventure game with the title Syberia.. Benoit Sokal creator of Amerzone, is the one who leads this new 'secret' project. The game will have full 3D graphics and offer you as player not only challenging but also intelligent puzzles. More news about this new title will be available in January 2002..
