Eidos today released the first details of its intense action title Kane and Lynch: Dead Men. Currently in development by Hitman developers IO Interactive. Kane and Lynch: Dead Men will be released in 2007 initially for the X360 and PC.

PS2 / PSP Console And Software Sales Drop

In the Game segment, sales decreased 29.1% compared to the same quarter of the previous fiscal year primarily as a result of a decrease in hardware unit sales of PS2 and PSP, as well as a decrease in PS2 software sales. Although combined profit from the PS2 and PSP businesses was relatively unchanged, operating loss increased primarily as the result of the recording of charges associated with preparation for the launch of the PS3, in addition to continued high research and development costs associated with PS3.

Ritual Releases 'SiN Episodes' Mod Tools

Ritual Entertainment has just released the SDK for 'SiN Episodes: Emergence' over Steam. The SDK allows players to create new single-player levels, new Arena Mode maps, and additional content for the 'SiN Episodes' universe. The SDK can be installed from the Tools tab inside the Steam client.

'Table Tennis' (X360) Xbox Live Demo is Time Limited

Rockstar has released a demo for its recently launched Table Tennis game, allowing you to try out single-player and LAN modes. However, what the demo does not make clear is that it is time-limited and will expire by the end of August and no longer work, even if you had previously downloaded it. At the same time, the demo will also disappear off Xbox Live itself and will no longer be available for download.

'World of WarCraft' Continues To Drive Vivendi Games' Sales Numbers

Vivendi Games' revenues of EUR 296 million were 24.4% higher than the prior year, primarily driven by the continued worldwide success of Blizzard's MMORPG World of Warcraft. Other solid performers in the first half of 2006 included the release of Ice Age 2, the game based on Fox movie, and continuing strong sales from backlist products including 50 Cent: Bulletproof and Crash Tag Team Racing.
