Turbine announced today that it has signed a co-publishing agreement with Midway to distribute The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar in North America. The Lord of the Rings Online is the world's first and only massively multiplayer online (MMO) role playing game based upon the literary works of J.R.R. Tolkien.

Set in the original 60’s Bond era, From Russia With Love features movie-based missions as well as original, action-intensive sequences, a broad and deep variety of gameplay, social multiplayer experiences, gorgeous women, and classic, upgradeable weapons and gadgetry with modern mechanics.

EA today revealed details on the upcoming Battlefield 2 v1.21 patch. A limited beta test will start end of the week to make sure that the patch is thoroughly tested before it goes out officially. Issues being addressed are : Hummer/TOW crash bug in the Special Forces expansion pack, screen capture is now working, performance issues with certain ATI cards, server browser can now filter by map name, and only 2 claymores can be dropped at any one time.

Konami announced today it has shipped Yu-Gi-Oh! Double Pack for the GBA to retail stores nationwide. The classic titles Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards and Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction are combined onto one GBA cartridge, letting Yu-Gi-Oh! players duel in the ultimate card dueling tournaments.

The sequel to the destruction racer is set to accelerate its way onto the PS2, Xbox, and PC in the nitrous charged form of FlatOut 2 this June, courtesy of Bugbear Entertainment and Empire Interactive, while Vivendi Universal Games will distribute the title in the U.S.

While the current gen Rainbow Six Critical Hour was already announced a few weeks back, it seems the official Rainbow Six website has a clock counting down to 12 days from now, on which Ubisoft promises a major announcement. Speculations are of course going wild but it is interesting to note that the counter started ticking from 360 on down, maybe indicating that the Rainbow Six franchise is making the jump to Xbox 360.
