The official Red Faction 2 web site now has a sign-up page where people can fill in to receive a free Playstation 2 demo disk containing a partial build of Volition and THQ's upcoming "destroy everything" first person shooter sequel. Only the first 20,000 people who sign up will receive demo disks and only accept US and Canadian entries.

Bioware has just released a new patch for the English language version of Neverwinter Nights, updating their high profile RPG to v1.24 (previously only as beta). Zapper is an action-packed and addictive game that starts with the “avoid-em-up” game play mechanics of Blitz Games’ own Frogger 2: Swampy’s Revenge, and then takes the action to a whole new level. In this action-adventure game, Zapper (a cricket) hops his way through six interactive worlds in a quest to find his brother, held captive by the evil magpie queen. Blizzard Entertainment will be making their next product announcement at the Tokyo Game Show. The press conference will be held at the Hotel New Otani Makuhari on Friday, September 20th, at 9:00 AM. The next age in the upcoming game, Myst III: Exile for PS2 and Xbox -- Edanna the Nature Age. Edanna is a fantastic, living edifice that rises some 200 feet above the ocean. This nature-infused Age is a tree-like structure, that grows inward. Knotted, sun-bleached branches weave a labyrinth down the trunk's interior, creating three distinct ecosystems: the dry Deadwood Ridge, the lush canopied forest and the murky saltwater swamp. To find Edanna's unique symbol, players must discover how various plants and animals in the Age react to different stimuli.
