Freedom Games has just released a new patch for G.I. Combat, updating their 3D war game to v1.02d. This patch requires you to "reinstall" your GI Combat game from scratch as the patch cannot be applied to the most recent v1.01 (unless you never upgraded to begin with). This upgrade adds control improvements, gameplay enhancements, multiplayer changes, bug fixes and more (thanks 3DGamers).

Ubi Soft Entertainment announced today plans for the publication of Gunfighter II : The Revenge Of Jesse James for PlayStation2. Gunfighter II is an First Person/Arcade Shooter and is scheduled for release in Spring 2003. The action takes place in a Spaghetti Western scenario featuring an outstanding animated 3D environment.

As was rumored earlier today (due to CPL's schedule mentioned Ritual giving a CS Condition 0 workshop) it has now been confirmed that the singleplayer version of the ever popular CS franchise has moved developers once again, the 3rd to be exact. Designated to finish the product is Ritual Ent, who are also working on Elite Force2). Valve has finally confirmed this : "The primary development of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero (CS:CZ) has moved to Ritual Entertainment. Counter-Strike: Condition Zero introduces single player gaming to the world's #1 online action game. GMX Media today announced that it is to publish the blockbuster PC title – Runaway: A Road Adventure. The game follows Brian, a student on the verge of graduating from college, is suddenly and mysteriously attacked by Mafia gangsters. During his desperate flight, in the company of a mysterious striptease dancer, he ends up meeting a wide range of unusual characters. But he has to figure out who's trying to help him or kill him. The player will have to be very ingenious to figure it out who's his friend or foe in this explosive mixture of murder, money, ambition, rituals and deception...a whole lot of deception. Though the full game has been out for several months, BioWare has now finally released a playable demo of their latest role playing game Neverwinter Nights. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets players enter fantastical free-roaming 3D environments from Harry's world. Players become Harry Potter and delve not only into Harry's world, but also into his personality, via an internal "voice." Conversing with unique characters like Moaning Myrtle, shopping in Diagon Alley, and exploring the convoluted corridors of Hogwarts, players make crucial and independent decisions within Harry's world. The demo offers two levels from the full retail PC game, which is based on the movie of the same name. PS2.IGN confirmed with Sierra Studios today that an original, forthcoming X-Files game is in development for PS2 and Xbox in spring 2003. The upcoming X-Files game, as of yet untitled, is a single-player survival-horror game in development with Black Ops (Street Hoops, Knockout Kings, BlackDawn) for PS2 and Xbox, and scheduled for a Q2 2003 release date. Actors Jillian Anderson and David Duchovny will pitch in to do the voices for their X-Files characters Dana Scully and Fox Mulder.
