WoW: Wrath of the Lich King will open the forbidding wasteland of Northrend to exploration by the hardiest adventurers. During QuakeCon, id Software revealed Rage, described as a mixture of 60% shooting and 40% driving. Rage is set in post-apocalyptic wasteland after a meteor hits earth and wipes out civilizations. You are tasked with helping various villages against mutants, monsters and an oppressive regime. As it's part racing, you will of course be able to upgrade and tune your vehicle. While not racing, you'll be able to explore the world, with a 20-hour single-player campaign and co-op.

Valve announced it has signed an agreement with id Software to bring id's entire portfolio of PC titles to digital content delivery platform Steam, including most Quake and Doom titles, as well as Hexen, and even Commander Keen.

ET: QW pits the armies of Earth against the invading alien Strogg in this online strategic shooter. According to an inside source, IESB.net claims that Underworld/Live Free or Die Hard director Len Weismen is in negotiations with New Line Cinema to direct the Escape from New York, as well as Epic Games' Gears of War. Variety is reporting that Silent Hill writer Roger Avary (Pulp Fiction) and producer Samuel Hadida (Resident Evil) have been tagged to bring id's Wolfenstein to the big screen.
