GameStop and EB Games Taking PS3 Pre-Orders

GameStop and EB Games will begin accepting limited pre-orders for the PS 3 console on Tuesday, October 10, on a first come, first served basis. Due to extremely limited supply, we expect to deplete this allocation very quickly, most likely in minutes, so it is recommended you call your local store first. A $100 reservation deposit is required, which can be funded with cash, credit or trade, which does not guarantee receipt of a system available to purchase at launch.

'Phantasy Star Universe' (X360) Open Beta Launches Wednesday

SEGA announced that Xbox Live Gold subscribers will have the chance to participate in a free Phantasy Star Universe multiplayer beta test starting tomorrow, Wednesday Oct. 11, 2006, which will last for a week, until Oct. 18. SEGA's online RPG will launch October 24, 2006, with either a fee of $9.99 per month or $49.99 for six months.

'World of WarCraft' Airs On ABC SitCom

Blizzard can't seem to get enough of having WoW appear on TV as there's another cool opportunity coming up to see World of Warcraft on primetime TV. The upcoming episode of "Help Me Help You," (TV-PG) a new sitcom on ABC, features the game in a portion of the story line. Check out the episode this Tuesday night, October 10, at 9:30 p.m. Eastern/Pacific Time on your local ABC channels.
