Recently spun-off and renamed Other Ocean Interactive (formerly Backbone Charlottetown) is working on bringing Mortal Kombat to the NDS, according to an interview with Midway's Ed Boon. Ultimate Mortal Kombat is scheduled for November and is a conversion of the Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 arcade game. It will support 2-player local or online multiplayer and include Puzzle Kombat, the Super Puzzle Fighter clone featuring super-deformed Mortal Kombat characters.

Enter the world of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and discover 22 playable characters, classic fatalities, brutalities, friendships and babalities with tons of environments, and multiplayer Kombat Mode as you fight to defeat Shao Kahn! Xbox Live Members can now download ‘Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3’ demo from Xbox Live Arcade, while the full version can be purchased for 800 points.
