Activision announced that all parties to the litigation have reached a settlement of the Infinity Ward dispute, however the terms of which are strictly confidential. 

Activision Blizzard amended its counter lawsuit against two former executives, adding rival publisher/developer Electronic Arts, and added a hefty price tag on its claim, $400 million. Activision accuses EA of intentionally interfering with contracts, engaging in unfair competition and aided and abetted breaches of fiduciary duty by former Infinity Ward executives Jason West and Vince Zampella.

Having recently left Infinity Ward, Jason West and Vince Zampella, creators of the Call of Duty franchise, announced the formation of a new development studio, Respawn Entertainment, which will focus on creating state-of-the-art gaming experiences for global audiences.

Former Infinity Ward president/game director and CEO Jason West and Vince Zampella, respectively, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Activision, which terminated their employment weeks before they were to be paid substantial royalties as part of their existing contracts for Modern Warfare 2.

Activision announced new strategic plans for the Call of Duty franchise, and confirmed earlier rumors that both Jason West and Vince Zampella are no longer with Infinity Ward. Activision also revealed that it will bring the franchise to Asia, and that Sledgehammer Games is working on a Call of Duty action-adventure game.

While there has yet to be an official announcement, it is not a big secret Infinity Ward is working on a sequel to its hit title CoD: Modern Warfare.
