Valve's SteamPowered website has been updated with details on a new Half-Life 2: Deathmatch patch adding a player "ready" command, objects no longer hide tripwire slams, it explodes, and scores no longer get updated after the round is over, fixing the case where a player is standing next to a grenade or flaming barrel when the round ends. Valve intends to implement The Friends system soon, allowing you to see when friends are online, and playing games, as well as chat with them. Valve is also planning on going back to some of the older Counter-Strike: Source maps and giving them an High Dynamic Range pass, starting with de_dust. Next week Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 will be released and playable on Steam, which is already available for preload.

Valve's latest Steam Update has a few details on what to expect in the near future. This month, new map releases for both DoD: Source and C-S: Source. For Day of Defeat. We'll also be releasing a completely rebuilt version of the classic map Kalt, which is set in the winter. There has even been some custom rendering work done in the Source engine to make the snow and ice look realistic. For Counter-Strike: Source, a new Militia will be released, reworked and, like the recently released Nuke, it will include HDR. A new Rag Doll Kung Fu demo is now also available.

Valve lastest Steam Update has a few details on what to expect in the near future regarding C-S Source and DoD Source. Over the next few weeks Valve'll have updates coming for both aforementioned titles, starting with one new level for each. Last week it was announced that an updated de_nuke will be making its return to Counter-Strike, and this week Valve revealed a new DoD Source map, named Argentan. Valve also said a new game is coming to Steam, with an official announcement due soon.
