A recent study amongst 4.000 children aged up to 15 years old shows the majority (61 %) of boys and girls play games on a daily basis, with PC as the prefered platform. The price of new games plays a small role when purchasing games, and that the role of internet as an advertising medium is growing amongst this age group.

Ubisoft's Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood
product page shows a change in release date for Gearbox Software's upcoming WWII based FPS. Previously scheduled for October 2005, the date has been moved forward and will now be released in September 2005 (

Valve announced today that Half-Life: Blue Shift is now playable for anyone that owns the Half-Life Premier Pack, the Half-Life 2 Silver package, or the Half-Life 2 Gold package. his blog Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert revealed that he had a planned trip to France, in order to meet with a publisher in France. Unfortunately Ron got sick and had to cancel the trip, but the interesting part here is that this would mean he is working on a new game. Speculations that Paris means Ubisoft are a little bit premature since also Atari, Vivendi have offices there, or it could be just somebody who wants to have a romantic date under the Eifel tower.

Arena Wars developer ExDream revealed its new project at the Leipzig Game Convention. Armies of Steel is a traditional real time strategy game in a near future scenario (only 30-40 years in the future) and consists - additionally to a great multiplayer - of a big singleplayer story and 4 fractions.
