Titus Interactive’s stunning Game Cube conversion of Top Gun: Combat Zones, its PlayStation 2 smash, will now take off in September 2002. The game, being developed by flight sim aces Digital Integration, is being held on the runway for a couple of months to allow the team to complete final preparations prior to take-off – ensuring that when it does take to the skies, Game Cube owners will be treated to one of the most explosive combat game on the format.

Paradox Entertainment and Pan Vision announce that they have entered a multiple-title publishing agreement for three of Paradox's upcoming titles for Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. The first game will be released in the third quarter. The titles in the deal are Legion, Crusader Kings and Hearts of Iron. Pan Vision published several of Paradox's previous games, among them Europa Universalis and Europa Universalis II. Paradox games have done extremely well in the nordic market, and have a firmly established customer base.

Square Co., Ltd., (Square) and Disney Interactive today announced the all-star voice cast for KINGDOM HEARTS, the 3D action role-playing game for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system. The player will assume the role of the lead character, Sora, voiced by Haley Joel Osment ("The Sixth Sense," "A.I. Artificial Intelligence"). Osment will lead an all-star voice cast, which includes David Gallagher ("Seventh Heaven") as Riku and Hayden Panettiere ("Ally McBeal," "Remember the Titans") as Kairi. KINGDOM HEARTS will also feature the voice talents of Sean Astin ("The Lord of the Rings," "Rudy"), Lance Bass (member of *NSYNC), David Boreanaz ("Angel," "Valentine"), Mandy Moore ("A Walk to Remember," "The Princess Diaries") and Christy Romano ("Even Stevens," "Kim Possible"). Electronic Arts the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company, today announced an agreement for the acquisition of Black Box Games, a 100-person game development studio in Vancouver, B.C. Under the agreement, Black Box Games will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Electronic Arts. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Eidos announced a new golf title called Swingerz Golf which will make its way to the Nintendo GameCube this Fall. The game is an English version of Japanese development studio Telenet's game, Wai Wai Golf. Swingerz Golf offers six different courses, 14 insane characters, lots of mini-games, and four modes of play (1-4 players) including Tournament, Stroke, Match and Short Course. This is not your daddy's golf game.

Battle.net reports that an increasing number of customers are reporting that their computers have been exposed to viruses by running programs they downloaded from web sites claiming to offer hacks, item-duping programs, and non Diablo II related video files (movies). They have found that many of the programs these sites are distributing are actually designed to give hackers access to the Diablo II user’s Battle.net accounts and to other personal information stored on the user’s computer.
