Zapper is an action-packed and addictive game that starts with the “avoid-em-up” game play mechanics of Blitz Games’ own Frogger 2: Swampy’s Revenge, and then takes the action to a whole new level. In this action-adventure game, Zapper (a cricket) hops his way through six interactive worlds in a quest to find his brother, held captive by the evil magpie queen. Dangerous traps and even more dangerous enemies await Zapper. It will take fast-footed skill and timing to conquer all the worlds and survive the final showdown with the magpie queen.

THQ Inc. today unveiled the next game in its "Evil Dead" franchise at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. "Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick" is based on the "Evil Dead" movie trilogy that earned a cult following among millions of horror fans. "Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick" is developed by VIS Interactive and will be available for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox video game system from Microsoft in early 2003.

Capcom today announced Steel Battalion, an exciting battle-mech simulator for the Xbox. Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. announced that SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs will be the first-ever software title for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system released in North America to support voice-recognition technology through the use of the SOCOM USB headset. Developed by Logitech, the SOCOM USB headset allows players to verbally communicate with both artificial intelligence (A.I.) and fellow human teammates through single-player and online modes of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs. Lara Croft, who has dazzled and beguiled audiences in six episodes of Tomb Raider, one of the world's bestselling game franchises, now has the representation to accompany her star power: a Hollywood agent. Eidos Interactive and Core Design, the publisher and developer of the blockbuster game series, announced today that Croft has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the world's leading talent and literary agency. Croft's next starring role is in "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness," to be released by Eidos exclusively on the Sony PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system in winter 2002.
