Electronic Arts the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company, today officially announced plans to publish a number of top franchises for Namco Limited on the NINTENDO GAMECUBE and the Xbox video game system from Microsoft across PAL territories. Amongst the titles included in the agreement are the eagerly awaited Dead to Rights exclusive to the Xbox platform and the return of the successful Pac-Man and Soul Calibur franchises. The first games are to be released for the upcoming Christmas season.

Alias|Wavefront, an SGI company, today announced that its Maya Personal Learning Edition software will be distributed with the highly-anticipated PC game, Unreal Tournament 2003 (UT2003), developed by Digital Extremes in collaboration with Epic Games, Inc. and distributed by Infogrames, Inc. Each UT2003 box will contain a copy of Maya Personal Learning Edition and a special plug-in jointly developed by Epic and San Francisco-based Secret Level, Inc. This plug-in will allow dedicated game players/developers (MOD makers) to build and export game objects and characters to the game engine.

Yesterday Steve Groll at Electronic Arts confirmed the new name for the Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault expansion pack "Spearhead" and on
EA's info website the expansion was rated "M" (Mature rating given by ESRB). Today

Shrapnel Games announced today that the release of Aaron Hall's Dungeon Odyssey "RPG" has been delayed due to a bad CD run. Tim Brooks, President of Shrapnel Games, said, "The Dungeon Odyssey release will be delayed at least until two weeks. We received the CDs on Monday as per the original schedule, but the would not work. We have reordered new CDs, but we are at least two weeks behind now. We apologize to all fans of Aaron Hall's games. As we firm up the release date, we will announce that date through the media."

For those of you who downloaded the latest demo and can't find on-line servers any more,
here's a small fix. To apply it, just replace the file data/net.cfg found in the Team Factor installation folder. Then you'll be able to play on-line again. And if you fear to do this "dirty stuff" with overwriting files in folders you didn't create, just use the latest Patch 1.06. Its only disadvantage is that it's slightly bigger. You can download
the Team Factor Linux server software. Includes dedicated server option also for LAN (this option was not available in our default Win server software)
