While there is no official announcement yet, Namco Bandai has confirmed earlier rumors that Tri-Crescendo is developing a Wii-exclusive, post-apocalyptic RPG, Fragile. Currently scheduled for a 2008 release in Japan, Fragile tells the story of a young boy, Seto, searching for a mysterious girl in a ghost town. Having repeatedly said that the Wii would not be able to handle the Unreal Engine 3,
Epic VP Mark Rein revealed that one of its licensees, which he declined to identify, is currently porting the engine to Nintendo's console, similar to what Ubisoft did with the Unreal Engine 2 for its slasher, Red Steel. And we all know how well that turned out ....
