LucasArts today announced its downloadable content plans for the Xbox version of Star Wars Battlefront II. Now available for free download, the newly added Assault mode on Kashyyyk adds another location for the Hero Free-For-All, a mode previously seen only when you selected Assault at Mos Eisley. LucasArts Producer Julio Torres revealed today that the Star Wars Galaxies developers are going to gradually roll out an overhaul of its much-debated Star Wars-based MMO. In his community letter, Torres points out that user feedback has indicated the learning curve to be too steep for beginners and not enough immediate action, resulting in people leaving again. Electronic Arts Japan, Star Wars Galaxies distributor in Japan, announced today that it is seizing support for LucasArts/SOE's Star Wars themed MMO. European and North American servers remain unaffected so Japanese gamers who which to continue their quest will get a chance to transfer their account.
